Summary:

This class will use interactive lecture and case study scenarios to illustrate Business Process Driven SOA using BPM and BPEL concepts & tools. The phases of Business Process Management (BPM) will frame SOA requirements gathering, identifying services and processes, development of process modeling using Business Process Modeling (BPM) and Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). Students will learn the context of Business Process Management/Modeling within the Gartner Enterprise Architecture Framework and their interactions with business relationships, functional patterns expressed as services, and implementation through BPEL engines, and service composite applications.
